This seems like it's meant for people new to CS editing, so I removed the list of extra entities, many of which don't even make any sense for using in CS. They could be put into a new page, but shouldn't be here. It would just confuse people. --IanL 01:58, 9 Aug 2005 (PDT)

Why was part of the page changed to japanese/chinese? I thought you needed to create a special page for it, or is the user that did it not aware of what he did? Solokiller 08:16, 8 Jun 2007 (PDT)

ya i am new to CS:S mapping and source mapping. I have designed a few maps but i havent tried to get them working. what i have done is i have put about 16 or so info_player_terrorist and counterterrorist points on my map and fired it up. It says that the spawnpoints are invalid and when i play it doesent use any of the info player entitys. This causes the teams to be full when there is no one playing.

I've been doing some brainstorming lately, had an idea that I want to test out on Counter Strike: Source, in Hammer.

my map is completely black
Motion sensing lights. I've been examing lighting in CSS, and I've been attempting to make a motion sensing light that turns on when a player runs over a trigger, which would be set in the ground, and have a certain radius, based on where the light object is facing. But it's stumping me. Nothing I do seems to work. What I've been trying to do is make a very dark level, with minimal lighting that is on when the game starts, but during the game, players can trip the motion sensing lights, and the lights (spotlights in my map) would flicker on, giving away the players position.

Im brnad new to all this, and i was making a very basic map for CS:S, but eveyrtime i try to run map, eveyrthing is black
Any ideas on how to make this work? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Daedryon 22:18, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

I will made map, where present sensors with lamp. and will write here.

When i try and run my map, only one of my spawn points works (Ct) and all the others do not work. When i spawn my character starts below the ground and continues to fall into blackness. I've tried raise the spawn points of my characters, but that does not work, my map is just a box as of now.

It should work if u use the info player terrorist and counter terrorist thingys and put them at least one unit above the ground and not touching anything. awhile ago i had some trouble with this and its (the help I got) all written higher up this page. --True_Unity 21:38, 12 May 2006 (PDT)

I have a map where one bombsite is a cafeteria and it is LOADED with chairs. there is also alot of glass around the bombsite. Does anyone know if there will be a problem with this? I will be trying it sometime soon but I dont know if this will overload the game.
I've played many maps in CSS, and i've noticed that many of them have that when you die you automaticaly respawn. i cant help to think if this is something written on the server or something put on a map. what is it?? ps: the map im talking about is cs_crackhouse.

Not entirely sure where to ask this, but here goes:

I've been doing some brainstorming lately, had an idea that I want to test out on Counter Strike: Source, in Hammer.

Any ideas on how to make this work? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Daedryon 22:18, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Respawn after Death

I've played many maps in CSS, and i've noticed that many of them have that when you die you automaticaly respawn. i cant help to think if this is something written on the server or something put on a map. what is it?? ps: the map im talking about is cs_crackhouse.
