This article will assume use of a REDUMP verified copy of Half-Life 2 and Cxbx-Reloaded emulator.

# Start the game in the emulator and load into Point Insertion.
# Exit the level and return to the menu. Do not save the game.
# Copy a version 19 BSP to the emulator's <code>EmuDisk\partition3\hl2\hl2x\maps</code> folder. Rename the map to <code>intro.bsp</code>.
# Load Point Insertion again. This time, your map will load in. {{note|Lightmaps are not functional, are we don't exactly know which entities do/don't work.}}
