Important:Make sure to disable RLE compression for 32-bit images, game icons, and textures being run through vtex!
Tip:Other uses, such as 
GoldSrc skyboxes, detail textures, and opaque VGUI textures (such as GoldSrc menu backgrounds), can be compressed, as long as they do not contain an alpha channel.
VTFEdit does not have any problems with compressed TGA files.File history
