I really don't understand why we are having these background pages at all. All we can hope to do is to make a duplicate of the much more detailed wikipedia article. --Andreasen 05:01, 7 Apr 2006 (PDT)
- Well, it could be argued that the topics already having a detailed article at Wikipedia should be redirected there.. The reason of us having these articles is of course explaining the HL continuity and to give inspiration, the same reason we have articles like City 17. It, too, has a lot longer article at Wikipedia. Jupix 05:26, 7 Apr 2006 (PDT)
- You know what woulda been cool in half life? being able to reason with the vorts. that way they'd shoot the marines, but not you. I feel kinda guilty each time i sneak up on one and shoot it before it shoots at me. poor guys... --JeffMOD 18:16, 8 May 2008 (PDT)

- Vortigese (Not sure if that's the correct spelling.) Is the Vortigaunt's native language. As heard in parts of Half-Life 1, and Half-Life 2. --JakeB 19:15, 22 Jun 2008 (PDT)
