Player Squads
- Mainly Npc squads consist of Player friendly allies that can be commanded, grouped, and assinged objectives.
Controlling a squad
Up to the maximum amount of npcs a player can have in a Squad is a total of 4. However that does not include other npcs like important game-ending alies or mainly allies like per say Alyx. So you can controll 4 Squad mates and player important aliies at the same time.
Things also to note mainly is the small bar on the lower left of the screen. That bar represents how much members are left currently in your Squad ad if one is a medic. Medics will have a cross symbol to indicate that they are a Medic.
Commanding a Squad
Also at the time of having a squad, you can command all the members of that squad to a certain point by pressing the C key and pointing to the area with your crosshair, or what key you have that action assigned towards. To regroup your Squad to your current position, double press the C or the assigned key two times in a row.. Usually Npcs can't be commanded to far from the player. They also can not be sent to areas that they can not reach either.
