- Known bug with sprites:
I found out that sprites flicker in game when you set a fade distance to the prop closest to it. So for instance if you want to fade out the light props where the sprite is used on it will render it werid ingame and start to flicker. So perhaps it's better not to fade out any light props to avoid this (unless this issue gets fixed by Valve some time).
