An end-to-end how to is needed. I have sketchup, l4d, and verve. But my efforts to move 3d warehouse media into l4d has been utter frustration. The only thing I have not done is the 3ds max route. I have tried the blender route. My dream:

  • Hammer -> import -> sketchup
    • brushes / static model / physics model

So, where is the how-to? Sure, the sketchup plugin exports an SMD file, but what about the textures? How do I set up the qc file? Is there a cookie cutter 3d warehouse to l4d path? Please describe. Thank you. Zettix 02:08, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
