Compile time

Ну дык вот что меня беситЪ в SDK - хочется прогу, с помощью которой можно тестировать карты без предварительного долгого и мучительного компилирования. Поверьте, компилирование так утомляет, особенно когда сделано было всего навсего небольшое изменение в карте, и надо его проверить на деле. Особенно бесит, когда надо плюс ко всему этому просчитывать VIS и RAD или как их там :-)... Если такая прога есть у кого нибудь, то киньте плиз сюда ссылку! Заранее благодарен!

Hi everyone! I have a problem - i want a program, such can run maps without prior long tiring compile. Compile tire everyone, especially be made insignificant or small change in edited map, and need it test. :-( If this program exist, tell me please! Thanks In Advance!

You can compile in "only entities" mode or without VRAD if you want to speed things up. You can do both of those things from the compile window. --TomEdwards 16:51, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

'nd addition: damned compiller >:-( type an error, SteamStartup(0xf,0x0012E5E4) failed with error 1: The registry is in use by another process, timeout expired. It is really damned!!! because of it I must restart SDK preliminarily remove process "SteamEngine.exe" and "SteamServer.exe" in Task Manager. How I can solve this problem?

I download content on csmapping site. Russian site... :-) and it is mean, that it pirated? Hmm... Also, problem dont solved, while on forums stay silent. hmm... Where I can download for FREE official content?

Team Fortress 2 with bots!

How I can play in TF2 with bots? when you (Valve developers), made long-awaited all people mod which you promise? I attempted to create navigation mesh on tc_hydro.bsp, but by add bot, they are added to spectator team, or simply stay at in their places. :-( but so want to play with bots...

CFG scripts - full control of game!

Guarantee of success anyone of mods - it is unique scripts. Here we teach how make an unique CFG scripts! I mark three types of CFG scripts (please correct a mistake if You take notice): 1. autoexecing scripts, that is execing by start the game by the instrumentality of "autoexec.cfg". It can been options, which allow some kind of superability for Freeman available from start of game etc. If you make mod where Freeman can stop time, or come invulnerable on short term etc. :-) 2. Execing scripts, by game by the instrumentality of special entity, "usercommand", (if I don't make mistakes). It can be use for activate achievements, by implementation of task etc. 3. Execing scripts, by user console with command "exec". Etc. "exec test.cfg" - like this should been write a this command.

EXAMPLE OF CFG SCRIPT:

// you can write scripts in any text editors without formatting

sv_cheats 1 // much console commands have a CHEAT status, because you must write // sv_cheats 1

// This script make a few of cheat functions

sv_maxspeed 500 // Player moves faster

// Test it on your half-life 2, and you see result!

Control of NPC!!!

You dream ever about control of people? :-D I think that yes)))

We can realize (let and virtual) your dark dream B-) in Half-life 2.

1. You want to kill metropolice or somebody by press only one button (in this case "K"), and evil metropolice or somebody fell to the ground with yell B-)

2. You want to refresh health of NPC by press "L", No problem, piece of cake!

3. If You want to control any NPC by press "O" you select NPC, "P" force NPC to go on point where you look.

Warning:in case of avoidance undesirable consequence ask You to take off selection

4. You want to freeze selected NPC. Again press "O" you select NPC, and "V" freese NPC.

5. You want to freeze ALL NPC, switch (on/off) the AI, while hold "B". release "B" AI been Switched.

Note:If in level initially been shutted down the AI, action been reverse.
