I'm James Butler and I am currently working on a HL2 mod named "The Journeyer". It will be loosly based on a science fiction novel called "The Traveler" by John Twelve Hawks. This story would make a good single or mp game having 4 different teams or roles, drones (normal humans), Tabula (ruthless mercenaries), Travelers (humans with special powers), and Harlequins (warriors sworn to protect Travelers from the Tabula).
