Summary

"The New Era" is a Star-Wars themed Source Engine modification, currently in development by Invision Games team. It's first open beta is to be released Summer 2008.

History

The basic idea for the mod came from another mod for Jedi Academy, called "Movie Battles II". Some of its developers and community mappers decided to take a leap to new, superb engine and to port the extremely unique Team Assault gameplay to Source. This was back in 2006, two years later mod's first open beta is ready to be shipped.
