in advance, I wish to apologise for the lack of grammer. not only am I tired, but I forget it. a lot. and I am too tired to strain my eyes at this point. I assume you came here to review the message above.
well, prepare to get into a huge tangled web of back-story.
ages ago, I posted my mod, P:AAA on Thinking with portals. it didn't have a good reception. among the flamers was one mr2videocards (or gear). the one who reported me.
the abuse to my mod then turned the abuse to me.
this started some sort of "war" between P:AAA and TWP on their forums. batting forward and backward how this was all possible (which has since-to our private mod team-been proven)
henceforth, it seems now another semi-war between me and TWP on here has begun. as well as a few others joining in. and the abuse keeps on coming by the very person who reported me.
you may check my rep at MyApertureLabs. I was appointed forum leader for a good reason. to try to help mappers, and to try to breath some life into portal, which is becoming ever more likely.
now, the actual matter at hand. the huge "fight" over the "what makes a good map" section of the dev community.
before I came, and now they reverted it, it is poetic garbage. sure, it says something important, but no mapper will be "enlightened" by this article at all.
I edited it to make it better. to help mappers who were just starting out on mapping. of course, M2VC didn't see kindly to my edit, and once someone removed it for being wrong linguistically, I reverted it. sure that any mapper would make more sense out of my revision than the previous. regardless of spelling and stuff (I have Aspergers Syndrome. one thing it effects is grammar for me.)
then, a huge back and forth argument took place. during this, I gathered some info from my beta tester (which is seen in the talk page. they decided to revert it)
the mapper said he would get more use out of my article.
erring on the side of caution, I also made a thread on My Aperture Labs. 3 people replied. 2 in favor of mine. 1 saying it should be deleted.
by this time, I was very annoyed. RL is a pain due to college, I have Chamber One being released today, and as I type, it is 4:46AM, which is due to this whole thing >.>
when they reverted it, I though "fine. I'll suggest it's deleted" and added the "candidate for deletion" thing.
they then flipped out. labeling me a vandal here, and saying I was a "problem". when, if fact, they are.
I wanted to make the article easier for the average mapper, and I did. but the highbrow snobs thought "no, I want to make the noob mappers look small by keeping my philosophical version so they get endlessly confused".
I am very tempted to keep this whole thing going, and did want to contact a mod earlier. however, there is no "contact" area I could find for a mod.
I am sure one of them will try to edit this. and I will revert it as it is a message between me and the admin about how I am not a spammer, not them to you.
so, I shall leave it in your knowledgeable hands. do you want to go with the person who helped discourage me from mapping, kicking me out of TWP? the one who has insulted me when I have not said anything insulting to him? the one who thinks he's so much better, he thinks I'm being too big of myself? despite my civilized posts of MAL, and civilized language here?
or me. who just wanted to help the community grow by making an article simpler. who is trolled very easily (you may check with sbrown on here, nickworks or sven who are mods of MAL, to know that it is true), and has never hurled abuse at anyone even remotely as big as they are to me.
