User:Welsh Mullet
Hi, I'm Welsh Mullet, 17 year old student from South Wales - UK. Hoping to do a course in Computer Science and AI in university next year, so I thought I'd try making a mod, to get a head start on learning C++. I already know VB.net, but really need to learn C++ for proper programming.
So, I'm currently throwing ideas around for my mod, Half Life 2: Destructive Interference. It doesn't have a page yet, because no work beside a few ideas has been done.
I'll post some ideas up here from time to time, maybe even create a page for it. Oh, and it's set in the UK, as there doesn't seem to be any set here already.

Half Life 2: Episode 2 based Orange box 2007 engine (for now)
Things to add to the source code and models:
- Attachment points on weapon and character models for large amount of customisation. Scopes, hats etc.
- Model for player (anyone know of a tutorial for this?)
- Improve reflective code, for mirrors and water (so it doesn't **** up when 2 can see each other)
- Improve AI?
- Physics water
- Survival mode, similar to Firefight in Halo ODST
- Improved realism.
Based around a team of ex-SAS and SBS members in London around the time of the Half Life 2 Series. 4 man squad is the most likely at the moment.
Additional weapons:
- Turrets that can be remove, and carried around, giving 3rd person camera and reduced movement speed.
- Sniper rifle based on the same bolts as the crossbow, but using some form of gauss propulsion?
- More realism in existing guns.
Also, has anyone done jiggleboned trees for realistic movement from wind and explosions?
