Sands of War 1 is a HL mod while Sands of War 2 is a Source mod. There have been released plenty of public versions of SoW1 while SoW2 has not been released yet. Both games are first person shooters with focus on teamplay and tactics. They are also both set in exciting middle eastern environments.
