I am recently getting some ideas for a first-person shooter/third-person rpg. I am still a student at Westwood College in North Denver. So, my time is limited on working on a side project, but I really want to. I got some ideas generated.
The reason why I choice the Source Engine to mod or develop a game. First, I love the realism of this engine has to offer through graphics, physics, and AI. I have played a couple of games that use the Source engine and liked how most of the games are realistic. Second, I like how Valve gives suggestions for third-party tools. I have asked around about getting a hold of certain tools.
I haven't thought of a title for my game. I think that is the hardest part of developing any type of software is thinking up a name.
I have somewhat thought of a story for this game or more or less of the background of the game. I want to make a program that interacts with the game that tells a story based on how the player plays, so that they make the story. I notice like Final Fantasy has a story that is told, and you, as the player, plays the story. Also, this program would be uploader to the website that other players can read about other players adventures.
