Works for both $alphatest and $translucent or only one of those?

Literally what the heading says: it's not clear from the article whether it works with models that have materials with $alphatest and/or $translucent. Right now it indicates that the second pass only renders the 'translucent' portion of the model. Does this literally mean for parts with $translucent materials only, or any type of translucency? Alphatest materials don't need a second pass; they are technically opaque, even with alpha to coverage enabled.
