First off let me introduce myself. I'm currently 19 years old and my goal in life is to bring the ideas within my mind into the world for people to enjoy through video games. I want to make games that tell good stories and push the standards of what we all expect from gameplay. But sadly I don't possess the talent to program or do much with 3D modeling outside of level design, I've tried programming and modeling but they just don't click with me, I'm too much about the writing and design. So now finally I've decided to see if there's anyone out there who wants to help make some amazing ideas come to life!


Don't get the wrong idea about me, this is quite literally the only thing I live for. I understand the intimacies of development etc etc. I'm not choosing to just say "I'm a designer" because I lack the discipline to learn other skills. I've spent over 250 hours in the source SDK and 140 in L4D tools, all in level design (done stuff in other games too don't get me started). I sometimes literally can't even sleep because of thoughts for a L4D map or even entire story plots are enveloping my mind. In short I'm extremely serious and have a mind for balanced design and what makes for good gameplay. Also writing is a strong point of mine.
But anyway on to the idea. The game would probably have to be built from the ground up, however it isn't all that huge on an idea. The idea for the game itself has been stuck in my mind for a while now and I think it would be a lot of fun. Basically it's a Co-Op survival horror experience where each player has a defined role to fill such as Medic, CQC, Tech specialist, Recon etc. Players would be dumped into a huge environment with basic equipment, the environment would be highly destructible / able to be manipulated by the players. The goal is simply to survive as long as possible versus various enemy types.
I have a very focused vision for what I want (not gonna give too much away) but if anyones interested in working on it as either a programmer or an artist definitely let me know, I want people who are 100% serious about creating amazing games as I am so come prepared to make some sexy video game babies. And on a side note I'm currently working on a sort of a prototype map that sort of roughly shows what the game would be like using HL2 single player.
