also, as a separate note, to have it say "a giant cube around the map" may make people think that is how to make a good skybox. make a giant box around it. which is -slightly- misleading. [[User:Kizzycocoa|Kizzycocoa]] 09:57, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

right, I'm going to try to take this in a nice, and easy way.

in skyboxes, being able to see something from the physical map through the skybox, means it's the containing visleafs can see each other.

to fix it, you have to make the 2 (or more) sections in the portal file can't "see" each other. this is a fairly common problem, and instead of working on the portal file, most mappers have to work around it as it isn't documented.
