In this page I will deal with the issue of making a custom sign for your portal testchamber.
1. Download this blank testchamber sign TGA file (file is not yet uploaded!)
2. Go into any image manipulation program capable of saving TGA's(e.g. GIMP) and open the file.
3. Using text boxes fill in the top section.
4. Use a magic wand or similar selection tool to choose the grey hazards that you want and use a paint bucket to turn them black.
5. go into a vtf making program such as VTFedit (available here[1]) and convert your file to vmt and vtf
6. place these files in the materials folder of 'user name'/portal/portal/materials and open the source SDK
7. open hammer, locate your texture, apply and there you are!
