moved back to command
What's the point of having template on this page and using shortcut cmd ? If every single use of the template is going to be {{cmd}} then might as well just leave the whole thing on Template:cmd --Nescius (talk) 13:44, 23 August 2025 (PDT)
- In my opinion, the name of the template should be clear to everyone in any part of the wiki. The only exception is the code for articles, as this is somewhat "personal".
- Perhaps I was wrong to give the shortcut as an example, effectively making it the main one, but the idea is similar to that in most other wikis - in articles you often see technical names (short and catchy), and in all other places you always see the full names (long, but easy to read).
- At first, I just wanted to specify the name via {{LanguageBar}} and also specify it in categories, but working with this is more complicated than moving the template and allowing the use of shortcuts.
