Cpl. Adrian Shephard was one of the U.S. Marines that entered the Black Mesa Research Facility in order to investigate the incident and get Dr. Gordon Freeman. In contrast to other soldiers he never harmed any scientists. In Opposing Force the player experiences the happening in Black Mesa through Adrian's eyes.
