Counter-Strike: Source Beta is a open beta version of Counter-Strike: Source released on 8 May 2010. It upgrades the game to the Orange Box engine, and includes many additional features similar to Team Fortress 2 to increase popularity of the game. The beta is currently being developed in conjunction with Hidden Path Studios.

   * New end of round display with MVP and interesting fact about a player
   * Updated scoreboard with new icons, visual style, MVP stars, and avatar pictures
