The use of HL2DM as the default SDK example should be examined. TF2 seems a better choice for 2 reasons. 1 it's free to play. 2 The actual setup of hammer with HL2DM is not as simple as this example indicates. You have to create a new configuration with the current version of the SDK. I had to look through several forums before finding the solution. Having Issues

EDIT: FIXED. I copied and pasted the L4D1 gameinfo.txt into the L4D2 one and modified paths, now Hammer can start up correctly! :)

Consider Different Game Example (or link to HL2DM setup?)

The use of HL2DM as the default SDK example should be examined. TF2 seems a better choice for 2 reasons. 1 it's free to play. 2 The actual setup of hammer with HL2DM is not as simple as this example indicates. You have to create a new configuration with the current version of the SDK. I had to look through several forums before finding the solution.
