==About Me==

I'm Rick, I'm a 17-year old student living in south east England. I've been involved in modding for Goldsource since 2002 and Source since it was released. I've also recently got involved in modding for ActiVision's Star Trek: Armada II. I play Day of Defeat: Source as a full member of The Firing Squad, the longest running British competitive clan. I'm also a bit of a freelance writer.

I've got some experience working with computer software, and this is going to be fully focused on at University level.

==Work in Games==

* Goldsource: I model, do model edits and (rather naff) texturing for Goldsource games - namely Half-Life, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Day of Defeat and a small number of single player Half-Life mods.
* Source: I'm learning to model and do model edits and I again do amateur texturing and edits for Half-Life 2 and Day of Defeat: Source.
* Other: I work on custom models and textures for the game Star Trek: Armada II.


==VDC Contributions==
I've done some writing work for VDC, mainly on the Half-Life continuity catergory and games. The continuity articles are riddled with tons spoilers (I try to go into detail) so don't read them if you haven't played the game and are planning to.

#[[Barney Calhoun]] - Rewritten entire article to display more indepth detail about Calhoun. Will add Episode I data in a month or so.
#[[Cpl. Adrian Shephard]] - Rewritten entire article to display more indepth detail on Shephard.
#[[Hazardous Environment Combat Unit]] - Written article to show the overall story of the HECU.
#[[Opposing Force]] - Rewritten entire article to include more indepth detail.
#[[Blue Shift]] - Rewritten practically all of the article to include more indepth detail.

I'm also in the process of writing new and/or improved articles for the following characters:
* Dr. Isaac Kleiner - (Half-Life 2)
* Dr. Eli Vance - (Half-Life, Half-Life 2)
* Dr. Wallace Breen - (Half-Life, Decay, Half-Life 2)
* Dr. Judith Mossman - (Half-Life 2)
* Dr. Stanley Rosenburg - (Blue Shift, Decay)
* Dr. Richard Keller - (Decay)
* The G-Man - (Half-Life, Opposing Force, Half-Life 2)
* Father Griegory - (Half-Life 2)

In addition, articles of Half-Life story information are planned for the following:
* Race X - (Opposing Force)
* Extra details on the Vortigaunt race and other Xen wildlife - (Half-Life)
* Black Operations forces - (Half-Life, Opposing Force)

(The brackets indicate what primary sources will be used. nb Although Breen is never mentioned by name until Half-Life, there is a significant amount of data that can be drawn on him from the game manuals and ingame speech)

Lastly, a reworking of the Day of Defeat article is planned, as well as the creation of a Decay article. I will however need to find a PS2 to play Decay on first - there's only so much about the story you can get from listening to the sound files and looking at the models...
