Where did the idea that a hammer unit = .75 inches come from?
I tried to work off of this assumption by reconstructing a place of employment from actual unitary conversion and came out with warped dimensions very early in design.
It should have been theoretically possible for me to plug in the appropriate measurements of two forms flanking a space and have the object in the space come out the same, but it would come out askew or oddly thick.
I restarted with 1 to 1 proportions and got a much more natural feeling space, even after taking construction standards into account.
Furthermore, what is more reasonable, that the player character is 54 inches tall or 72 inches tall? If a valid source can be provided, I'll accept it, but this is only conducive to "vibes based mapping", and not architectural rigor.
