What is "Project Mall"?

"Project Mall" is the codename for a map for Team Fortress 2 that I am working on. It's currently in pre-alpha stage, and a release date is not currently planned. Since I am quite new to Hammer, the development will take quite some time. Anyone who is willing to help out will be greatly appreciated. If you want to contact me, please send me an Email.

This map will be a Capture Point (cp) or Domination (dom) map. I have yet to decide which will it be.

June 24th-29th, 2009

(Sorry, no pictures this time)

  • cp_mall is now ALPHA1 ! Hurray!
  • Added more spectator cameras.
  • Added lighting and cubemaps.
  • Added capture point positions and some cool triggers like signs changing color and more stuff.
  • Fixed random texture problems.

June 17th-23rd, 2009

Inside the Pharmacy
  • Added stuff to each shop. Some are more detailed and full than others (nearly empty).
  • Added 2 spectator cameras.
  • Added ammo and med packs around the map.
  • Change of plans - No more Hat and Sports shops. Welcome the new Payload shop and Movie rental shop (no overlay signs made yet).
  • Domination? Maybe... maybe...

June 14th-16th, 2009

Female toilet room

Added:

  • 11 shops, 9 on the first floor and 2 on the second floor.
  • Walls for gib gallery (+sniper protection).
  • Custom overlays to all 9 bottom floor shops (see image).
  • Started working on 2nd cap points (BLU/RED)

Also, fixed various problems.

June 10th-13th, 2009

Added:

  • First capture point, neutral. Placed in the middle of the bottom floor.
  • First CP surrounded by 2 souvenir shops and 2 "Resting places"
  • Added corridors for both spawn rooms, with 2 window holes that are low enough to shoot through, but high enough to duck under to avoid headshots. Between the 2 windows is a bullet-proof glass.

Fixed:

  • Blue spawnroom issues, like doors not opening and resupply cabinets not functioning.

The stairs

(Sorry for not updating for quite a while, I had a lot of tests and events going on. I'll try to update as much as I can from now on.)

  • Added a BLU spawn room, based off of the RED spawn room.
  • Fixed RED spawning bug.
  • Added 2 extra stairs (See image).

May 31st, 2009

RED spawn and resupply room.
  • Fixed entity related bugs.
  • Added more detail to the RED spawnroom.
  • Added RED playerspawns.

May 30th, 2009

Stairs leading from floor 1 to 2. playerspawn location is temporary.
  • Added 3rd floor
  • Added stairs, leading from floor 1 to 2 (See image) and stairs leading from floor 2 to 3.
  • Started working on RED spawn, doors complete.
