La majorité des images sont en 24bits, composé de trois couches de 8bits chacunes, soit 24 bits. Certains formats acceptent une quatrième couche : la couche alpha. Il s'agit d'une couche en 8bits en niveau de gris, utilisé pour rendre de la transparence. Le blanc est transparent et le noir opaque, les niveau de gris entre sont une variante des deux extrèmes, ce qui permet de contrôler la transparence de l'image. Le format TGA accepte une couche alpha.
- Votre fichier fera 32bits et non plus 24bits avec une couche alpha.
