This template was ported from a template from Wikipedia, then modified. It was originally at Template:Rfc. The original authors of this template are shown on the template's edit history page.

Usage

This template is used to make a request for comment. It automatically places the page into Category:Requests for comment and allows it to show up on {{Ongoing discussions}}. Use the date parameter to indicate when the notice was added.

Parameters

Parameters	Description	Example	Result
No Parameters		{{rfc}}	An editor has requested comments from other editors for this discussion. Discussions with this tag are automatically listed under Ongoing discussions. When the discussion has ended, remove this tag and it will be removed from the list.
{{{nocat}}}	Doesn't put the page into Category:Requests for comment.	{{rfc|nocat=1}}	An editor has requested comments from other editors for this discussion. Discussions with this tag are automatically listed under Ongoing discussions. When the discussion has ended, remove this tag and it will be removed from the list.
