Not many people here, are there? I would be horrible for almost any voice acting, cause my voice is terrible, but... No Offensive Language? AGREED. --JeffMOD 09:08, 31 May 2008 (PDT)

Are there any volunteers (of hopefully the female gender) to voice act GLaDOS lines? If so it would be great. Although fun, here are some things to keep in mind when volunteering:

  1. Very lively and emotional, in the right places; sometime, however, GLaDOS does sound emotionless.
  2. A good recording.
  3. A slight robotic 'tone' done in a pitch-changing program - don't overdo it, though.

Well, you could always hire Ellen McLain for voice acting. :) FelixGriffin 14:52, 24 August 2011 (PDT)

Mr P Kiwi. I've never done GLaDOS voice, but I'd be willing to work on one and try and do some tests for you. I don't know what filters Valve use to make her voice sound completely robotic though.... Are you working with a deadline or is this like a personal project?

I think the filters mostly involve removing the changes in tone, then shifting the pitch up and down. You can get a fairly good effect by doing that in Audacity. FelixGriffin 20:22, 17 November 2011 (PST)
Bluuberee, I'm happy to hear you want to help me help you help us all. It's a personal project, kind of late now, but in time I just might find a place for a completely original GLaDOS line in a map of mine. Also, I'm sure a lot of other creative mappers would be thrilled to hear new voice lines.
If you are interested, there are some nice tutorials on making GLaDOS voice robotic using a demo program, completely free of charge!
In case you're not sure how to imitate GLaDOS's voice, check this website as it is filled with hundreds of Ellen McLain's work, you sure to learn from it :)

Mr P Kiwi . Awesome. I'll get to work on that now. :) Do you have a personal email address that I can contact you by or a Skype address? Also, do you have any specific lines or ideas for lines in mind for your maps?
