I'm having a heck of a time trying to get a point_spotlight to be more transparent (not as bright). I've set the FX Amount to be less than 255, and I'm not compiling for HDR. This is a TF2 map... --Molaughlen 09:08, 5 Jan 2008 (PST)

what kinda developer help is this? --Godlike 23:36, 8 Jul 2005 (PDT)

Valve Developer Community, a Wiki created for help with the Source SDK. What other kind of dev help do you want, anyway? Please sign next time... for some reason, it gets on my nerves. --Darthkillyou 07:48, 30 Aug 2007 (PDT)

The funny thing is the name is right up there ^. =)--Gear 09:39, 30 Aug 2007 (PDT)

Look at the history. I guess Mr. Andreasen over there signed it for us. --Darthkillyou 19:06, 9 Dec 2007 (PST)

Sorry, my english is bad. How to create with point_spotlight ONLY RAYS WITHOUT GLOW?

You can't, by the look of it, unless you change the C++. There are some models you can use in place of the spotlight beam though. --TomEdwards 01:00, 5 Mar 2008 (PST)

Whether I can use this sprite - sprites/glow_test02? And how it to use? In game (cs:s) it is not visible.

You need to at ".vmt" to the end of Sprite Name. It's a Hammer bug. (Also, use "show preview" to see what your message looks like before you submit it!) --TomEdwards 07:58, 5 Mar 2008 (PST)
