A cool idea: The player can use the gravity gun to pull the barnacle tongue, and shoot the barnacle tongue at enemies to pull them up and kill them (like the tire swing on Highway 17). Unfortunately I think the tongue is part of the model, but I'm sure a creative programmer (or maybe Valve!) could turn it into a physics-rope thing. Think about the possibilities; barnacles would become much more than a device to limit movement! Good idea or bad idea? :) --Campaignjunkie 13:41, 26 Jul 2005 (PDT)

Haha... It doesn't exactly, but that kinda reminds me of the barnacle gun from Opposing Force. --Darthkillyou 21:16, 25 Jul 2007 (PDT)

"Don't force the player to get caught!"? Where is the objectivity in that? I personally wouldn't mind. --Andreasen 04:10, 6 Aug 2006 (PDT)

mobile barnacles

I'm sure I saw (somewhere) a map where some rebels raised a gate along with the barnacles attached to it. But there's (sadly) no Parentname attribute for the npc_barnacle ... does anyone know how this trick was done / could be reproduced ? --Beeswax 12:40, 1 Mar 2008 (PST)

I believe you could turn off SmartEdit and add the Parentname keyvalue to it. --RandomCatDude (talk) 14:42, 5 December 2018 (UTC)

Typo?

What's a "ragdolled yummy"? Is it supposed to say "ragdolled dummy"? --MossyBucket (formerly Andreasen) 17:41, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

It's the object being eaten, so yummy does make sense. --TomEdwards 18:40, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Flags Question

I Have a Question. What Exactly does the "Cheap Death" flag do? --Spazzing K-9 24:00, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
