Director's Cut Spoilers

If you don't like spoilers, don't read the following sections:

Branch Between 1th and 3rd Route

The branch between the routes to the first and the third endings is just after the subway. It's somewhat obvious: After exiting the subway through a set of stairs, you can either go left, which will load a new map, or continue playing the current map by going right. The game keeps track of the first choice you make, so if you change your mind and try to go back another route, it will have blocked off that route. One of the routes results in you finding a car and driving off, only to crash in the woods, while the other means you walk there on foot. --Andreasen 07:42, 3 Nov 2007 (PDT)

Branch to 2nd Route

Having played the original game, it's obvious that the branch to the 2nd route happens if you find the demon and kill it, after which the "god door" (with the paper that says "god" on it) opens. --Andreasen 07:42, 3 Nov 2007 (PDT)

The 10 Letter Code

At the start of "heaven" there is a branch once you get out of the water. If you head left you will show up at a door where you input the code for the final ending based on the letters you can find. The code is 26, 16, 4, 27, 49, 2, 32, 45, 12, and 23. The letter/number combination spells "FORGIVE_ME". Some letters are only found when you take different routes to the first three endings, so you have to play through the game at least once per ending.

Beyond the Door - Fourth Heaven

If you don't like letter hunting and playing through the game over and over, you can do like I did, and simply noclip through the door. Beyond the door is the fourth heaven, which ends in a cool boss battle and a different ending from the first three (written in the "endings" section). --Andreasen 07:04, 3 Nov 2007 (PDT)

All the Endings!

  • First Ending: You wake up on the floor hearing police sirens, and you realize what you've done.
  • Second Ending: You "confess" all of your sick story to the police.
  • Third Ending: You are convicted of massacering many innocent people, and hang yourself in your cell.
  • Fourth Ending: The "repentance" ending: Having won your inner conflict, you didn't really massacre all those people, but are shown barely surviving an overdose instead. --Andreasen 07:42, 3 Nov 2007 (PDT)

Fourth Ending Reward

I don't know if it's because I've played through all of the four endings of Director's Cut or because I got the fourth ending, but after doing this (This is a spoiler too. Don't read this if you don't want to know.) the game mentions the letter room. If you begin the game a fifth time, after first getting the knife and coming back to the lobby, you will see a brief flash of "mother" pointing to the letter room door. Enter it and you will get a huge gun with a scope sight and unlimited ammo. That's your reward. --Andreasen 07:04, 3 Nov 2007 (PDT)
