The $modelname QC command must be used. It specifies the output folder (relative to game_dir/models/) and filename of the compiled model.

Tip:By convention this should be the same name as the QC file, but it doesn't have to be.

Example

$modelname		"weapons/shell.mdl"
$cdmaterials		"models/weapons/"
$body		shell	"shell-ref.smd"
$sequence	idle	"shell-idle.smd"
