Main plot
Sir Paul Oliver Gavinsworth was born in Chelsea, London on April 13th 1957. The Gavinsworth family has been known in centuries for being the most prized architects of Great Britain and to have accumulated a vast fortune that few dare imagine its total worth. After a successful career as an architect, Gavinsworth retired at the age of 40 years old and started living a peaceful life at his magnificent mansion near Green Park surnamed the Quencer House. Unfortunately for him, two years later his beloved wife passed away. With little to do, Paul Oliver needed to get his mind working so he could go through the pain of his loss. He therefore hired Phillip Kensin a professional combat instructor which became his tutor in the art of tactical combat. Gavinsworth went through military styled weapons training as well as closed quarter combat similar to the French Army. This new hobby of his helped form a solid friendship between he and Kensin which eventually lead to greater plans; plans to venture into mythical historical mysteries and uncover the truth. Kensin out of a desire to gain fame and Gavinsworth out of simple boredom finally decided to start their own little adventure company for where they will claim mythical tokens for the sake of doing it.
At the beginning of World War II, in 1939, right after Germany invaded Poland, France and Britain declare war on Germany. Adolf Hitler was surprised by such a sudden move and yet had no choice but to fight. The armed forces of Hitler strike hard and easily break in to France from up North yet mysteriously they also coordinate attacks on the lower front near a city named Haguenau. The attacks were ferocious and precise. They were deadly enough to make the French step back and for the German Army to get a bit of ground. Not very late after the German had their ground they suddenly disappear just as if they were never there. The French Army never understood that particular situation nor did they have the time to concentrate on that with the main Nazi forces striking hard up North so they let go at that and regain their ground near Haguenau. It will be only after the capitulation of Hitler that the French with the United-States Army investigate into this bizarre event. The Allies never found anything particular near Haguenau up until they discovered an isolated bunker. Quickly enough, the bunker is supposedly investigated and then sealed and marked as a dangerous zone. What was inside of that bunker still remains top secret and no one is willing to reveal any information concerning that bunker. It eventually sank into a fun story and got people to accept and forget. The only way to identify this special bunker is the word: “RUHE” written on a slab of concrete near its supposed entrance. What is inside of that bunker is the token of Sir Paul O. Gavinsworth and Phillip Kensin.
Heroes
The main hero is Sir Paul Oliver Gavinsworth which you are playing. He is in his late forties and was born in Chelsea, London on April 13th 1957. Sir Gavinsworth enjoys action and thrilling fun so that is why he took up combat lessons and weapon handling after the death of his beloved wife. Paul is bored by nature and is always looking for something to do to take his mind off. He did not resist at all when his friend and combat tutor Phillip Kensin proposed him to hunt for the world’s mysteries and hidden relics. Paul is a true gentleman with great manners and pushed aesthetics although he doesn’t mind to dirty his clothes when it involves action. Sir Gavinsworth is a self-accomplished action man due to his vast wealth and quick learning skills. Paul was an IPSC Open Division Champion and favors a Glock 19.
The hero’s sidekick is Phillip Kensin which will be helping you. Kensin is in his mid-thirties and was born in the borough of Manhattan in New York, NY, USA on October 14th 1971. He became a soldier of the U.S. Army within the 82nd Airborne Division and left the forces seven years ago to move to England with his wife. Once there he founded a Militia Training Centre and began offering private martial arts and combat technique classes to the rich lords of London. Phillip Kensin has always been fascinated by conspiracy theories, ancient secrets, treasures and mythical objects. Kensin is an entrepreneur and loves to build up projects. It was no surprise he wanted to hunt the world’s secrets given his favorite hero is Indiana Jones yet he lacked the time and money. After becoming good friends with one of his student; Sir Paul O. Gavinsworth, Kensin shared his vision of forming a small band of secret hunters and uncovering the world’s myths. Gavinsworth enjoyed the notion and offered to cover each and every cost as long as he could be part of each and every expeditions.
Enemies
You are fighting against the “Office Nine” a secret military group created by the United States in conjunction with France. This group was created especially to protect, maintain and operate the Ruhe Bunker. They are well armed and well trained soldiers from France and United States. The “Office Nine” was created in 1946 when France and USA signed a secret treaty for them to conjunctively operate and maintain the Ruhe Bunker. With the coming of the Cold War, the United States needed large, secret storage areas as close as possible to USSR. Most of the Ruhe Bunker’s Secret German Armament was transported to another secret military base and the bunker was converted into a military storage complex. From 1946 to 1952 the Ruhe Bunker was used to store Nuclear weapons. In 1952, an Office Nine engineer discovered a secret area within the bunker, immediately the Office Nine crew was dispatched to other secret bases around the world. They were paid large sums of money to keep quiet and none of them got to see any co-workers ever again. The bunker was then guarded by CIA field agents until 1954 where the Office Nine division was built up again with new soldiers and engineers. This time, the Ruhe Bunker was used similarly to its primary German utility; it was a secret weapon development centre. In 1989, the Cold War crisis was nearing its end and the Office Nine crew was reduced in size. Since then, the weapon development program at the Ruhe Bunker has gone radio silent and both government refuse to acknowledge any existence of any sort of secrets within the Ruhe Bunker. They simply claim the bunker’s structure is highly unstable hence why they have locked and secured its entrances. In 2004, at a German HK Conference, Phillip Kensin met Heinrich Berliner a German World War II veteran. Berliner enjoyed the company of young Kensin and both became good friends. When Berliner learnt of Kensin’s love for conspiracies and secrets, he shared with him the identity of the Ruhe Bunker. Berliner had been at the bunker which was then named Bunker A008 and he had seen unusual weapons being tested over there though he was mandated to swore an oath of silence to Adolf Hitler himself which he kept up until he met the companionship of Kensin. Unfortunately, not very long after, Berliner died of cancer. Kensin kept the secret at heart and swore to himself for Berliner’s sake to uncover what was within that mysterious bunker.
History
This mod was actually based on a NAD Centre (http://www.nadcentre.com/) project. It was essentially supposed to be Level Design and Game Design hence why SMOD and Valve's textures and models are used. The NAD Centre (http://www.nadcentre.com/) project turned out to be something else and Token was simply moved to its official developers: Black & White Concepts (http://www.bw-concepts.com). Since the beginning, Token has been a One man team. Its only developer is currently looking into expanding the team. Although Token is developed by Black & White Concepts (http://www.bw-concepts.com), it is still considered as the company's side project. Token development was officially started on October 14th, 2006.
