PORTAL CHEATS

While playing Portal, call up the console screen by pressing the key to the left of the 1 key (the ` key). If the developer console does not appear, you must first enable it by pressing ESC then select Options/Keyboard/Advanced/Allow Developer Console.

When the console appears, enter sv_cheats 1 into the console input box to activate the cheats.

Here is a list of cheats you can enter to spawn creatures and characters from Half-Life 2. Have FUN!!

To make H a shortcut key, type [bind H "console command"] (type everything inside the brackets including the quotation marks) into the console input box. You can substitute any letter or number key for H except W, A, S, D or E since these keys are already reserved for actions.

Then you can press the button you binded (H in this case) and the npc will appear without having to use the console!

Other random cheats you can access through the console are:

• impulse 101 (all weapons from Half Life 2)
• impulse 200 (makes weapon no longer visible although it still functions - you can still shoot it)
• impulse 203 (makes any npc automaticaly disappear)
• impulse 83 (spawns a air boat you can drive on land with)
• npc_create equipment weapon_smg1
• npc_create equipment weapon_ar2
• npc_create equipment weapon_pistol
• npc_create equipment weapon_357
• npc_create equipment weapon_crossbow
• npc_create equipment weapon_shotgun
• npc_create equipment weapon_rpg
• npc_create equipment weapon_grenade
• npc_create npc_turret_floor
• host_timescale (max negative 0.10; max positive 10.0)
• sk_max_[weapon]_[value] (then press Enter) Then, enter "impulse 101" (without quotes) to get your weapon a higher amount of ammunition. If you bind 'impulse 101' then you can press the shortcut key multiple times to continue increasing the ammunition level.
