Hosting sample maps
From Valve Developer Community
Summary
In a short period there will be hosting of your SDK sample maps available at CrabbyData's website... It will probably have the url http://www.vmfupload.net, but since I'm negotiating with Valve, it could also become http://vmfupload.valvesoftware.com/ There will be lots of features, like moderating your post (altering, deleting, updating etc.).
Every (user)post will contain:
- A SDK sample map
- Date of post
- For which Mod it is
- Poster's VDC-username and email
- Comments by poster and visitors
- An Admin-comment (e.g. "Works fine", "Works fine, but problems compiling", "Corrupt" (=Non-.vmf-file))
- Screenshot(s) (It will also be possible to upload 3D-Quicktime Movies (How_To_Create_Panoramic_Views))
- A download button
Some features:
- There will be a couple of admins around, 24/7, to check, validate and delete maps.
- There will be a searchable database with all the information about all the maps for all mods.
Lots of features to be added! Give comments or ideas on the Talk Page of this article!

- In the mean time, BJ has done a incredible job, and created the PHP, MySQL and HTML-'base'-website; He did a huge part of the website with this! I hereby want to thank him again, for this major 'update' :D
- In a short time, my 'alpha'-website, and BJ's test website will be merged into a real alpha-website! Once BJ and I finetuned it, it will become a beta-release, and it will be available for uploading your sample maps! :D :D :D

Although the project was 'down' for about half a year, CrabbyData worked for the past month on the 'looks' of the website. A small sneak-peak can be viewed here: [1], but take in mind that it's far from finished(!). CrabbyData
